Women's Empowerment Programme Latin America
The Women’s Empowerment Programme Latin America (WEP) fosters capacity and action among young women leaders from Latin American countries to leverage the power of education to promote justice and the rule of law, while strengthening their leadership skills to act for the SDGs. It targets 20 young women, ages 22 to 32 from Bolivia, Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras and Peru and equips them with Global Citizen Fellowships, covering their participation in the WEP.
The WEP Latin America will happen online and will equip the fellows with in-depth knowledge about sustainable development, peace, and justice, whilst training their changemaker skills to implement an SDG Micro-Project and become a leader for the SDGs.
It includes an intensive leadership training, multiple networking opportunities with high-level changemakers, peer-to-peer exchange through extracurricular activities and exclusive participation at special events.
