What are you interested in studying at the DA? I was drawn to the cooperation program "Environmental Technology and International Affairs" between the Diplomatic Academy and the Technical University of Vienna as it provides a multi-disciplinary education with an emphasis on key technical, legal, political, economic and historic elements that are fundamental to working in International Affairs. Today, working in the international arena means that one needs in depth knowledge not only of one field of study, but understanding of multiple facets of technical and social, legal, economic sciences. ETIA provides this knowledge and allows us to find our interdisciplinary specialisation. In my case I will focus on the legal studies of environmental implications of outer space activities.

Simply strolling through the streets is a cultural education on its own. Vienna provides for not only a large variety of cultural possibilities for students such as visiting the opera, theaters, balls, and museums, but is also a central turning ground for international actors and organizations and serves as a ground for many mitigation negotiations. Therefore, as a student of International Relations, this city is the best teacher there is.
