The individual counselling of students by the Career Centre takes place in several steps: during the first talks the interests, experiences, skills and career ideas of the students are analysed in order to specify the individual career goals and possible occupational fields. CV and motivation letter drafts are discussed and optimized. Depending on their individual affinities students are prompted to research the relevant occupational fields. They are also brought into contact with alumni who have agreed to act as mentors in their vocational fields. The following talks consist of feedback sessions on the previous development steps and lead on to concrete counselling on internships and jobs. Job specifications and qualifications of students are analysed and strategies regarding preparation for selection procedures discussed. Last but not least, the results of the applications are reviewed.
