MANZ-CHRIST, Gerlinde career skills trainer

Academic Career

Gerlinde Manz-Christ studied law (completed Dr.iur.) and translation science at the University of Innsbruck, followed by international relations at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna. Later in her career she earned a Master in Business Administration at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Research Interests

She is interested in the intersection between diplomacy and the business world, advocating a less aggressive form of competition and respectful interaction at all times – no matter how important individual roles may be, how crucial the talks, and how desirable the objectives. She is also interested in nature diplomacy, recommending a conscious relationship of each individual with nature, as a bottom-up approach to dealing with international environmental issues.

She has taught various modules in public diplomacy at the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Diplomatic Academy Vienna, and communication & leadership at various levels, at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Liechtenstein.
