It is with great sadness that the Vienna School of International Studies announces the passing away of its long-time faculty member, Professor Michel Cullin, whose strong links to the DA began in 1967.
Shortly after the DA’s reopening in the 1960s Michel Cullin taught French, and later on courses on contemporary history, French-Austrian relations, contemporary Africa, and other topics. He was also in charge of the “Felix Kreissler Forschungsstelle” for Austro-French relations. Among his many other functions, he served as Maître de conférences at the Université de Nice and from 1982-86 as Director of the Institut français. He retired from the DA in 2017.
With Michel Cullin, the DA has lost a dedicated and outstanding member of its faculty, and a good friend over many decades.
The DA expresses its heartfelt condolences to his family.
