On the occasion of presenting the certificate to the winner on April 7, 2016, Mag. Christian Ultsch, DIE PRESSE, highlightened the unique combination of TU and DA contents in the MSc ETIA programme as well as Ms. Reicher´s broad experience and academic performance so far. Mr. Fellendorf could not join the meeting, because he is actually busy with his internship at the European Parliament in Brussels.
"I want to thank "Die Presse" for this wonderful opportunity. Because in an increasingly interconnected global society, a well-trained diplomatic service equipped with the necessary skills to tackle vital issues linked to climate change, e.g. environmental migration, urban planning, is of utmost importance. I am convinced that the ETIA program will significantly enhance the skills I need to succeed in my future professional career as an expert in environmental issues" stated Tabea Reicher, BSc.
Tabea Reicher has finished her BSc at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna where she studied Environment and Bio-Resources Management. Ansgar Fellendorf has finished his BA in International Relations and International Organization at the University of Groningen, NL.
This MSc Program was installed in 2007 as a unique cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and TU Vienna. Graduates of technical studies are supposed to get an overview about the political and legal frame of environmental technology, whereas lawyers, economists and graduates from other studies should get acquainted with the technical basics (focus on air, water and waste as well as energy, climate and sustainable development).
Late application for the ETIA10 Program, starting in September 2016 is still possible.
