Programme

After an introduction to issues pertinent to the empowerment of women, specific topics related to female leadership within the public service are discussed in light of global trends and developments. Particular emphasis is placed on good governance, international climate action, and the domain of global health. In addition to theoretical and practice-oriented training modules, the programme includes a virtual encounter with officials from the Austrian public administration.

Methodology

In order to maximise its practical usefulness, the programme comprises a broad mix of academic analyses, critical discussion and the training of soft and practical skills. In interactive exercises, participants are able to sharpen their analytical capabilities, leadership and negotiation skills, as well as crisis management and conflict resolution strategies.

The programme is held via ZOOM. A stable internet connection is required.

Please note that this is an intensive full-time training course.

The Online Training Programme is organised by the Diplomatische Akademie Wien – Vienna School of International Studies in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs and the Austrian Development Agency, the operational unit of Austrian Development Cooperation.
